Application Overview: Adobe LiveCycle Designer

Adobe LiveCycle Designer is a point-and-click graphical form design tool that simplifies the creation of PDF forms. Form recipients can fill a form online, submit the data, and print it, or print and fill the form by hand by using Adobe Reader 6.x or later.

Adobe LiveCycle Designer forms can be saved as PDF files or XDP files. XDP files are used by an Adobe LiveCycle Form Server which can then serve the files to PDF or HTML versions. PDF forms made in Designer can be dynamic in which the layout can change 'on the fly' in response to data gathered from other sources), interactive (capable of accepting input from the use) or both. Designer also allows JavaScript to be embedded into a form and a proprietary scripting language called FormCalc (in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2).

Note: PDF Form Creation with Adobe LiveCycle Designer training is only available on the Windows platform.

Users: Creative, Web, Engineering, Finance, IT, Legal, Marketing and Admin Professionals as well as anyone who needs to create, edit, assemble, publish and distribute electronic forms.
