Adobe After Effects - Introduction
Application Overview:
Adobe After Effects
Adobe After Effects is digital motion graphics and compositing software. It can be used in film and video post-production.
After Effects uses a system of layers organized on a timeline to create composites from still images and motion footage, such as video files. Properties such as position and opacity can be controlled independently for each layer, and each layer can have special effects applied. You can design from scratch or jump-start projects from hundreds of customizable presets and templates — all from within Adobe After Effects streamlined interface.
After Effects is similar to Adobe Photoshop in that its flexibility allows compositors to alter video in any way they see fit, as Adobe Photoshop does for images. Although Adobe After Effects can create images of its own, it is generally used to composite material from other sources to make moving graphics (also known as motion graphics).
Users:
Film, Video, Creative, and Marketing Professionals as well as anyone who needs create special effects or motion graphics for film, video, DVD, the web, and mobile devices.
