Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word is a word processing and publishing program for creating letters, reports, flyers, stationery, and other documents — even Web pages.
Microsoft Word will automatically correctcommonly misspelled words and make suggestions to improve grammer with the
AutoCorrect Feature, Automatic Spell Check and the
Automatic Grammar Check.
The Project Gallery lists the many templates and wizards available for Microsoft Office applications. In the Project Gallery, Microsoft Word provides categories of wizards that make it easy for you to create complex documents. You can choose from a gallery of pre-existing designs for newsletters, brochures, menus, and catalogs. Word provides a convenient place to enter basic information and then creates the document for you.

Grasp the fundamentals of working with the world’s most popular word processing program. You’ll complete a series of hands-on exercises to efficiently create a professional looking document.
Course Content
Create, Save and Edit a Document
- Efficiently enter and edit text in a document
- Save the document in a specific folder
- Use the Spell Check command to ensure you do not have typing errors in your document and add words to your custom dictionary
- Explore many different methods to move and copy text
- Print your document
Enhance Text and Paragraphs
- Change the appearance of your text using the indent markers on the Ruler and the buttons on the Formatting Toolbar
- Use the custom tabs to align text in columns
Change the Page Setup
- Change the margins, insert page breaks and create a header and footer in your document
- Use the Find and Replace command to quickly find text and replace text with another word or phrase
