Course Overview
Designed for experienced QuarkXPress users, in this course you will learn the powerful typographic and image control features of this program as well as numerous tips to improve your efficiency in producing documents. Proficiency in using the Toolbox is a prerequisite for this course.

- Program preferences in detail: Display, Interactive, Save and XTensions Manager, Undo, File List, Default Path, PDF, Measurements, Paragraph, Character, Tools, Layers and General Preferences
- Working with colour (Spot and Process), editing colours, applying blends, shade percentage
- Colour trapping
- Hyphenation and justification
- Dashes and stripes
- Paragraph rules
- Anchored boxes
- Using the Bezier drawing tools for lines and curves and Bezier shortcuts
- Merging and splitting boxes
- Working with text paths
- Creating text outlines
- Importing and editing graphics and combining object shapes
- Creating a clipping path for a graphic
- In-line graphics
