Application Overview:
QuarkXPress

QuarkXPress is a powerful page layout program for desktop publishing. It is a page make-up program–an electronic equivalent to traditional graphic arts processes such as typesetting and paste-up.

QuarkXPress is capable of producing full-color output on high-volume color printing presses and also supports a wide range of output devices and formats such as desktop printers, PDF and HTML files.

QuarkXPress is box-oriented so layouts are built by placing boxes on the page. A box can contain either text or an image, or it can contain nothing at all. You can apply advanced ligatures, alternate characters, and extended character sets easily and reliably. Synchronize your text and graphics immediately throughout your entire project. QuarkXPress now allows you to edit an image, correct a typo, change a font, or reshape a box in one layout and watch the changes update everywhere.

You can quickly access the exact controls you need by grouping and saving preferred palette configurations. You can also group palettes on the fly or create different palette sets for different publishing tasks.

Users: Creative, Web, Engineering, Finance, IT, Legal, Marketing and Admin Professionals as well as anyone who needs to create, edit, assemble, publish and distribute electronic documents, imagery and illustration.
